'Rainbow Six Siege' Commentator KiXSTAr Passes Away At 24, Tributes Pour In

The gaming and streaming industry is mourning the loss of one of its beloved members Michael "KiXSTAr" Stockley, who suddenly passed away.
According to a statement released by his family, the "Rainbow Six Siege" commentator passed away earlier this week. The press release was shared through the fellow streamer Parker MacKay on Twitter, and it read:
On Monday, October 11 Michael “KiXSTAr” Stockley passed away unexpectedly. He had so much planned for the future, and he was looking forward to working with so many of you.
The heartwarming statement revealed that KiXSTAr had spent the last 20 months with his family after traveling the world for so long to connect with members of the "Siege" community.
His parents appreciated the immense love their son received from members of the gaming community and encouraged them to continue lifting members of the "Siege" family, just as KiXSTAr would have wanted. His mother Carol and stepfather Thomas signed the statement.
Cause Of Death
Although the release didn't address how the beloved 24-year-old gamer passed away, MacKay, in a follow-up post to the original, revealed that the family decided to share how KiXSTAr spent his final hours.v
The late broadcaster died while driving. While the circumstances of his demise weren't elaborated on, MacKay noted that it wasn't accidental, and no one else was injured in the process as the young gamer was all by himself.
In his heartfelt tribute to his friend, MacKay confessed he was short of words and felt at a "total loss." He described KiXSTAr as his "best friend, brother, and co worker" and urged that the family's privacy be respected during this challenging time.
Siege Community And Fans Pay Tribute
Since the news of KiXSTAr's death broke out, tributes have poured him from all over the world, causing him to trend on Twitter. Fellow broadcaster Sau Siege described the deceased as "an incredibly sweet and welcoming person."

Twitch streamer Macie Jay called the late gamer one of his closest friends in the community and declared he was "beyond heartbroken."
Fans had nothing but great words to say about KiXSTAr's work ethic and warm personality. Before his demise, KiXSTAr was a Pro League caster and won several competitions in the gaming community.
A North American League playday and broadcast set to take place today was postponed to honor his legacy. May his soul rest in peace.
