Not all comments left to a bikini snap of Tallulah have seen this actress given the thumbs-up, though. In fact, it looks like a fan has suggested that Tallulah might be too thin. The user also appeared to be slamming the “Bandits” star for promoting thinness.
Two photos were posted to Tallulah’s account yesterday – both showed her kneeling on ocean sands and rocking a striped bikini in rusty tones.
The user didn’t hold back on the aggressiveness front.
“This is so unhealthy for young girls to see. You look so sickly,” they wrote.
Tallulah clapped right back.
“Hmmmm, this is my body, I work through what my right size is and constantly fluctuate. Shaming me for where I’m at and not being allowed to share a joyful moment in the sand isn’t really sexy 2020 energy ?,” she wrote.
By and large, comments left to Tallulah’s snaps were positive, although the above user wasn’t alone in noticing the actress’ ultra-slender frame.
“Eat some more food,” one fan wrote.
While Tallulah did respond to the slamming comment, she wasn’t alone – other users jumped to the actress’ defense.
“This is a horrible thing to say to a person. ANY person. Are you following her Insta just to troll her? Because you know that you don’t have to look at her posts, right?” a fan objected.
“That comment was not necessary. If she was obese would you say that to her? NO you wouldn’t because you should know that in 2019 that is fat shaming and it is wrong and unacceptable but you can shame a thin person with no regard for her feelings. Shame on you” was another comment.
Tallulah has been vocal about her battles with her mental health. Back in 2017, she took to social media with words interpreted by People as the star confessing to an eating disorder history.
“3 years ago I was a malnourished string bean with aches that echoed throughout my soul,” she wrote.
This year also saw Tallulah deliver a bizarre bikini dance on Instagram with a powerful and raw caption.
“When this video was filmed I was 3 months into the deepest suicidal hole I had ever been in. We are not what we show. I’m not ready to share my story yet, but I’m with you, I see you, I am you, and I love you. Pain is pain…”
From Demi Lovato to Bebe Rexha, it seems like there isn’t a celebrity out there who hasn’t been body-shamed. While body positive stars such as Lizzo and Ashley Graham are making their mark in getting the world to accept all shapes and sizes, Hollywood’s pressure to remain “red-carpet ready” remains.
Tallulah has since featured in stunning Hawaii shots with her sister Rumer and dad Bruce. Some other comments regarding weight were left to Tallulah’s bikini photo, although these didn’t directly see users infer that the actress is unwell.
