The late Hollywood sensation Luke Perry left the world too soon after suffering an ischemic stroke in March 2019. However, the talented actor's memory continues to live on in the hearts of his fans, friends, and family.
On October 11, what should have been the "Beverly Hills, 90210" star's 55th birthday became a memorable occasion. The actor was remembered by fans and close friends, such as his former co-star Tori Spelling.
A Friend And Big Brother
In honor of her late friend, Spelling posted a lengthy emotional message on Instagram along with a throwback photo of Perry kissing her on the cheek.
The mother-of-five described her former "Beverly Hills, 90210" co-star as "a friend and big brother" as well as the first boy ever to make her feel worthy of being a female comedian.

The 48-year-old's touching tribute revealed how much the late actor meant to Spelling as their relationship went beyond the big screen. In her words,
"You stood up for me fiercely. Went to brawl literally for me when I was in a verbally abusive relationship and sat and talked me thru the most insecure moments of a teen angst girl's life."
The "A Friend to Die For" actress also stated that she would always be Perry's "camel," the nickname the late actor gave his co-star due to her long eyelashes.
Moments They Never Had
Spelling's tribute to the late "8 Seconds" star was mainly filled with genuine admiration for the man he was. However, the mother-of-five had two regrets about their friendship.
The 48-year-old confessed that she never had the opportunity to experience a family Taco Tuesday night at Perry's house or taste his delicious tacos.
She also regretted that the father-of-two was unable to fulfill his dream of having his former cast feature in a horror movie.
Despite not fulfilling his dream, the late actor's other "90210" co-stars happily shared throwback pictures and heartwarming birthday messages on Instagram, as reported by ET.
Among the list was Ian Ziering, who shared an old picture of himself and the late actor. As well as Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty, who both shared intimate images of themselves with the actor during their time on "90210."
The Oscars' In Memoriam
It is a yearly tradition at the Oscars to celebrate the passing of Hollywood's greatest with an In Memoriam segment. However, this year's list did not sit well with Spelling as two talented men were left out.
In February, The Blast reported that the mother-of-two took to her Instagram to share her disappointment at the Oscars over the exclusion of Perry and her father, Aaron Spelling who died in 2006.
Spelling's statement was supported by several fans, who took to the comment section of her post to share their views about the incompetence of the Oscars' committee.
Many were furious about the committee's disregard for the families of the deceased, while some pointed out that this was a recurring mistake.
