McEntire is a 66-year-old American actress and singer/songwriter who was born on March 28, in McAlester, Oklahoma, United States. She became active in 1975 and is still very much involved in the game. The genre of music she sings and writes is Country songs.
She is very familiar with musical instruments like Piano and Guitars. At a tender age, she learned how to play the guitar herself. Also, she likes vocals and the Acappella type of songs. Her parents are Clark Vincent McEntire and Jacqueline McEntire (maiden name is Smith). She had three other siblings; a boy named Pake and two girls called Susie, the younger sister, and Alice, the eldest daughter.
She attended Kiowa High School for her pre-college years and Southeastern Oklahoma State University for college.
Her Several Relationships
Two years later, she married her manager, Narvel Blackstock, who is a former guitar player. Their wedding was a private one that took place on a boat in Lake Tahoe in the Nevada mountains between Nevada and California.

During her second marriage, she had three stepchildren; Brandon, Chassidy, and Shawna. In February 1990, she gave birth to a son, whom she named Shelby Steven. He had both parent surnames included in his names.
A joint statement was released on her website after 26 years which stated that the couple had separated for a few months. In October 2015, the divorce was finalized.
Despite the separation, she is still very much close to her step-kids to the extent that she refers to their kids as her grandchildren. Two years after the separation, she started a relationship with Anthony Lasuzzo who she met through Kim Brooks.
Freshly after they met, she confirmed that they were in love with each other. In 2019, Lasuzzo and McEntire separated. During the pandemic of 2020, she began dating Rex Linn and they are still together till now.
McEntire's Music And Acting Career
She started her music career as a high school student when she would go to local radio shows and rodeos with her siblings to sing.
When she got to her second year in college, she performed the country's national anthem and it caught the attention of an artist, Red Steagall. She relocated to Nashville through him and signed a contract with Mercury Records in 1975.
Two years later, she released her debut studio album which was self-titled. In subsequent years, she released a couple of albums which all have charting records to date.
McEntire later got her debut acting role in 1990 as the character, Heather Gummer, in a movie titled "Tremors." Afterward, she featured in multiple high-grossing movies.
McEntire Described Her First Impression 'Ted Lasso'
The American musician was one of the top celebrities given a shout-out on "Ted Lasso" and hers came in the fifth episode of the second season.
She shared a post on Twitter, saying that she was very surprised to hear her name on the American sport/comedy TV series.
She also noted that she stumbled on the series when trying to find something new to watch on TV. She watched the episodes and anticipated the next one in the coming week. During an interview, she confessed that it took a while before she got obsessed with the TV series.
She further explained that after the first episode, she was trying to understand what the movie was about. Subsequent episodes wowed her and she became a big fan of the series in a short time.
