Gwen Stefani has her first top 10 hit on the country charts. After releasing "Nobody But You" in collaboration with boyfriend Blake Shelton, the song has made it into the top 10 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

The song is featured on Shelton's latest album, "Fully Loaded: God's Country." Although Shelton didn't write "Nobody But You," he was nonetheless at how songwriters Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne, and Tommy Lee James were able to capture his story so completely.

"I was just floored," Shelton told The Tennessean. "I realized how important that song was for me, and where I am in my life right now. I think that’s why Shane was trying to get it to me because he knows enough about my personal life … to know, ‘This has got to get to Blake because it fits his story.’"

Shelton also realized quickly that the song was one he needed to collaborate with Stefani on, and that's exactly what he did.

"This was one of those songs where the more I heard it, the more I fell in love with it,” Shelton said. "I also realized how important it is for me and where I am in my life, and I think that’s why [writer] Shane [McAnally] was trying to get it to me."

"It fits my story," he continued. "I was about to go in and record when I decided that it needed Gwen on it — because it is our song. I think it’s magic."

As the song charts, Shelton and Stefani continue to dodge rumors that they are planning an upcoming wedding. The singer hopes that the song will inspire other people in committed relationships.

"The lyrics of that song are so on point, not just for me and Gwen, but I think for a lot of people," Shelton told Nashville Lifestyles. Shelton attributes his relationship with Stefani in part to increase in faith. Shelton said that their relationship only makes sense if God is involved.

At the same time, Shelton appreciated that "Nobody But You" was real about what it's like to be in a long-term relationship. "The song is not a fairytale, but at the same time it’s the most epic, earth-rattling love song I’ve heard in a long time because the lyrics are so honest and just say it how it is," Shelton said.

Sometimes, love songs can be about what it's like to fall in love and stay that way, with all the challenges that come.
