Kelly Ripa‘s daughter Lola Grace is making all kinds of headlines right now. The 18-year-old didn’t garner too much attention as she posted a singing video to her Instagram account yesterday, but mom Kelly praising it has now made Lola’s video a viral deal.
What did the video show? Well, not much. Lola didn’t show her face, and it was virtually impossible to tell where she was. All fans saw was the teenager filming her white ceiling as she belted out Labyrinth’s “Jealous” while playing the piano.
If you’re sick and tired of high-earning music stars relying on autotune, this is your lucky day. Lola Grace is no Camila Cabello on the fame front, but it looks like a music career could be on the cards for Kelly’s only daughter.
Lola’s voice was sugary, pure, and, well, a total delight.
Kelly’s comment was brief, but the “Live! with Kelly and Ryan” host made her point.
“You are gifted,” Kelly wrote.
Brother Joaquin wrote: “Wow!!! The best voice I’ve ever heard.”
And the praise didn’t stop there.
Fan comments have been pouring in ever since Lola’s video went live.
“Absolutely beautiful! Go Lola! ???,” one fan wrote.
“I love your voice so much!!! Absolutely beautiful!! Kelly and mark must be soo proud of you!!!” another said.
It also looks like some users were keen to see this teen appear on a well-known reality show.
“I got goosebumps! Get yourself on The Voice or American Idol immediately!” a fan wrote.
Lola’s video has raked in over 14,000 likes since going live. Not bad for an Instagram account with only 181,000 followers.
While every 18-year-old around seems to be flaunting their every asset on social media these days, Lola Grace is a different story. Lola’s Instagram was on full lockdown until recently: anyone wanting to see Lola’s content had to request a follow.
Lola is notorious for being wary of social media. Kelly herself revealed that getting Lola to agree to have her prom photos posted to the digital space took a lot of work.
“Took me 20 hours to get that photo,” Kelly said about uploading the pictures to Instagram.
Kelly Ripa’s Instagram family vibes are almost up there with Kim Kardashian’s. Actually, they might have overtaken the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star.
Kelly’s edge? It’s all about the throwbacks. The 49-year-old does post up-to-date photos, but it’s the old-school images of herself, husband Mark Consuelos, and the couple’s three children that the platform seems to adore.
National Daughter’s Day brought an adorable snap as Kelly shared a throwback from when Lola was a small child.
“Happy #nationaldaughterday Lola ♥️♥️♥️Im the luckiest to call you mine?,” Kelly captioned the picture.
Back in the day, celebrity kids were just that – kids. Fast-forward to 2019, and they’re the shiniest, glossiest accessory a celebrity can have. They’re also a major career-booster.
Kim K is all about her four kids. North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm are rising A-Listers, with similar seen from Kylie Jenner’s daughter Stormi Webster. The Jaden-Smith kids? Similar deal. From Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh-Nouvel to Yolanda Hadid’s daughters Bella and Gigi Hadid, Hollywood is all about the kids.
With Lola’s voice, it looks like the industry has one more reason to welcome a celeb kid as a celebrity in her own right.
