Since she became a part of the music industry, SZA has become a force to be reckoned with, and that will not stop for years to come. The American singer uses her neo-soul singing talent to captivate her fan base, keeping them hooked on every chorus and verse.
However, despite her unarguably incredible singing talent, the singer seems to be starving her fans of quality albums, and they are getting worked up. For a long time now, there were speculations on social media platforms that the 31-year-old is working on an exclusive project.
Although there was no incline as to what this project is about, fans are almost sure it is a new album. Since her debut album titled “Ctrl,” the singer and her label have stuck to amazing singles every now and then, but what fans want is a full-fledged album.
Still, on the rumor mill surrounding SZA’s latest project, fans alleged that she intends to release her new project on the same day as another singer known as Summer Walker? What was SZA’s response to this latest allegation? And what did she reveal in the process that took fans by surprise?
Find out more details below.
SZA Denies Project Release Date Speculations
Aside from the rumors that SZA might be dropping her album the same day Walker drops “Still Over It,” fans also insinuated that the former may have been featured in the latter’s new album.
In a bid to put these speculations to rest, SZA took to her Twitter page to laugh off the idea that she might be working on an album with Walker, or planning to release hers on the same day as the “Body” singer.
“I just wanna know y y’all think I would drop same time as summer and I’m ON her album [loudly crying emoji] like wut,” SZA wrote.
Although this comment laid to rest any rumors suggesting an ongoing collaboration between the female artists, SZA did well to appease her lovely fans with the news that sometime in the future, a collaboration between her and Walker will happen.
It’s uncertain at this point if the duo have spoken about this yet, but SZA managed to throw her supporters into a frenzy over the announcement, and they cannot wait.
Will SZA Release An Album Soon?
SZA is a very unpredictable artist, and that is one of the fun parts about her, but sometimes, fans want to be able to see through or hear from her about impending projects.
After announcing that a huge project is underway a few months ago, the singer again mentioned during an interview in early July that she might scrap the entire second music project and start afresh. Although the interviewer from Women’s Wear Daily did not push for further details, SZA made a second statement.
“I think they’ll be surprised to know that it’s not what they thought, and it’s not coming when they thought. I hope that they’ll be pleasantly surprised,” she concluded.
Now, it’s unlikely that the singer went through with scrapping the project, but at the same time, it would not be shocking news to supporters, as the know that the singer dotes on perfection, especially when it comes to her sounds.
