Earlier today, news broke that investigators had found a body in North Carolina, but the FBI says there is no reason to believe it is Mr. Laundrie. "The body discovered along the Blue Ridge Parkway on Saturday, October 9, 2021, is part of an ongoing investigation. At this time, there is no evidence to connect or any reason to believe it is related to the search for fugitive Brian Laundrie," the FBI said.

As we reported, Dog the Bounty Hunter was searching in a swampy and uninhabited island off the coast of Florida. Due to the terrain, the team has been searching through it at a slow pace. It appears Dog injured his ankle while trekking through the dangerous environment.

The ongoing search continues.
