Kim Kardashian made history on Saturday when she hosted the prestigious “Saturday Night Live” for the first time, and it was indeed something!
The “KUWTK” star kickstarted the sketch show with an opening monologue that saw her brutally go after her family members, talk about her infamous sex tape, and her father’s relationship with OJ Simpson.
Kim touched on several notable topics about her family, including her divorce from her estranged husband Kanye West, mom Kris Jenner‘s relationship with boyfriend Corey Gamble, sister Kourtney Kardashian‘s relationship with Travis Barker, and her sisters’ plastic surgery rumors.
After the internet-breaking moment, fans gave their opinions about how well she delivered, with some praising her performance while others described it as cringe. However, now, it seems her family members have taken over and are sharing their thoughts about her debut.
Momager Kris Is ‘So So Proud’
Kris was on the receiving end of the joke when her daughter seemingly called her boyfriend a gold digger, but it seems the momager didn’t take the roast to heart. Instead, the matriarch took to her Instagram after the performance to shower praises on her daughter.
Sharing a clip of Kim’s vote of thanks at the end of the show, Kris declared that she was “so so proud” of her amazing daughter. She gushed in the accompanying caption:
She absolutely crushed one of the hardest stand up gigs in the world!!!! She is an absolute ROCKSTAR and I’m so proud of this accomplishment!!!
Kris continued, describing her daughter as “beautiful, funny, outrageous,” and applauded her for not taking herself too seriously and taking on the job with importance and focus.

The doting mother had nothing short of adoration for her daughter as she noted that Kim handled her monologue with “a mix of LOVE, vulnerability, self depreciation, humor, beauty, intelligence and kindness.”
In the lengthy caption, the 65-year-old businesswoman raved about her daughter’s work ethic and concluded, thanking “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels for including their family in the historic night.
And What Did Her Sisters Think?
Khloé Kardashian, who joined Kris as part of the live audience, took to her Instagram story to write, “Proud is an understatement!!!” She revealed that she was beaming with pride and congratulated Kim on the win.
Although elder sister Kourtney wasn’t present in New York, she was the butt of the joke during the hilarious ‘People’s Kourt’ sketch where Kim mimicked her judgy attitude and never-ending PDA with Barker.
Kourtney took to her Instagram story to share a clip of the roast, writing, “Ahhhhh! This is everything! Kim Kardashian you killed SNL.” Kourtney was away celebrating Barker’s son’s birthday.
Kylie and Kendall Jenner, who were also parodied in the show, posted clips of their sister’s performance on their Instagram story as they cheered her on. Overall, it seems the Kardashian-Jenner members are indeed good sport!
