Fox recently announced that the 'BH90210' reboot would not be renewed for a 2nd season. While most of the cast was pretty disappointed that she show only lasted for one season, Jason Priestley didn't seem too phased.

The 'BH90210' reboot featured original cast members Tori Spelling, Jason Priestly, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering, Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty and Brian Austin Green. These actors all played characters that were dramatized versions of themselves. The reboot basically resumed from where the original series left off.

Priestly explained to HollywoodLife that he is all too familiar with the nature of the business and that shows being canceled is just a part of it.

“It’s the business of show, right?” Jason asked to HollywoodLife rhetorically. “It’s not the first show I’ve been on that’s been canceled, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. So, I just, you know… It’s show business. It’s just the way it goes,” he added.

Priestly also goes on to explain that the actors already had a good run with the original show.

“We’re all cagey old veterans,” Jason continued. “We’ve all been doing this a long time. And, I think everybody understood the decisions that were being made, and why they were being made. I mean, it was easy for me. I was already working on my other show, right? It was what it was, for me. And, as for everybody else, you sort of have to check in with them.”

Priestly is perfectly fine with the show being cancelled because he already has work on his other show 'Private Eyes.'

Priestly also has moved on in life. He's approaching 50 years old and ready to enter this new phase of life.

“I feel so far removed from it now,” Priestly added. “It feels like that was a whole other lifetime ago. To know that I had that importance in those people’s lives, it’s nice. And, to know that I didn’t screw it up too badly, is very gratifying.”

Priestly believes that he and the cast are ending the show on a good note.

When asked about whether the 'BH90210' cast has stayed in touch, he responded, “We all communicate via text a lot. To be perfectly honest, it’s a lot of texting."

The original 'BH90210' had a successful 10-year run from 1990 to 2000 and was wildly popular. The original cast also featured Luke Perry who passed away March 4th, 2019 due to a massive stroke. The 'BH90210' reboot made sure to honor the late actor as well as 'Riverdale,' the show he was working on before passing.
