Nick Cannon Reveals His Ex, Mariah Carey Is Still Fuming About A Gift He Got Their Children

Nick Cannon is an American star with seven children from four different women but was legally married to only one, Mariah Carey.

Carey is the mother of his first kids and he married the American actress/singer on April 30, 2008, on an island in the Bahamas. Exactly three years into the marriage, Carey gave birth to fraternal twins of different sexes.

Their son was named Moroccan, and their daughter, Monroe. Three years after these children joined the family, the couple parted ways and filed for divorce. They came together for a short time in 2015 and finally went their separate ways a year later.

Cannon later had children with two models and a third woman; one of the models gave birth to male twins.

Even though Cannon and Carey are no more an item, the rapper/singer still showers love on his kids at any given opportunity. Despite having a successful career, he recently went back to study Criminology and Administration of Justice at Howard University, in Washington D.C., U.S.A. He decided in 2016 and finally graduated during the pandemic last year.

During the virtual graduation ceremony, Cannon addressed his colleagues even though he felt weird doing that in front of a computer. The decision was somewhat shocking to people that heard about it, but he gave his reasons for doing that in a media response, where he quoted Nelson Mandela's popular belief about Education.

Cannon had an eventful pandemic year as he was very happy with the projects he executed. He has something going on underground and people are anticipating its release.

Carey was not in the best of moods after Cannon gave their twins a particular birthday gift to celebrate their new age. The American actor/comedian recently revealed that his ex-wife told him not to get that particular gift for their kids but he did anyway.

In one of the October episodes of his daytime talk show that he hosts, he made it known that Carey was not happy that he got Moroccan and Monroe mobile phones as birthday gifts to mark their tenth birthday without her knowledge.

These twins are not the only children Cannon has, as he has welcomed another five from several relationships.

He also explained that his twins (Moroccan and Monroe) wanted mobile phones since they were eight years old, although they already had iPads. Carey, their mother, did not welcome the idea then.

Carey was not satisfied with getting the kids mobile phones yet and she expressed her displeasure to Cannon. When the kids were eight years old, they wanted the phone but only their dad was cool with the idea.

Carey explained that, at that age, they shouldn't be googling their parents on the internet.

The ex-couple are American stars who are successful in their respective careers, and several online bloggers have their biographical details published on websites.

Carey didn't want this, coupled with the fact that Cannon already had other kids with different women outside their marriage. She didn't want her kids to know about their step-brothers and sisters. At least not yet or through social media.

In a previous clip from the daytime talk show, Cannon explained that he and Carey threw a big birthday party for Roc and Roe where he presented the birthday gifts to the kids.

He knew she wouldn't welcome the idea and he was right after all.

The American star explained that when Carey was not okay with the idea of getting them the cellphones at the age of eight, they agreed to get it when the kids turned ten.

He also said it was like a deal between them, although Carey was not enthusiastic about it.

In an Instagram post, he wrote a caption speaking about the gifts he bought for his kids and his wife's reaction to it. He also asked if he was wrong about the step he took. However, Carey didn't reply to the post.
