Gabrielle Union Shares New Message of Strength Amid 'AGT' Investigation

By Gary Trock

Gabrielle Union is keeping focused on what matters most during the holidays, even though she's entangled in the middle of a public spat between herself and the brass at "America's Got Talent." She posted video of 1-year-old daughter Kaavia James Union Wade enjoying a meal while sitting in her highchair.

Union filmed a boomerang video of baby Kaavia giving some quick side-eye and captioned the vid, "When you peep game and it doesnt faze you." She also included a hashtag of #StayTheCourse, a clear nod to her ongoing war with NBC and "AGT."

Union shared some new photos this weekend of her family around a giant Christmas tree in their backyard. The former "AGT" judge was seen hold Kaavia and standing next to Zion Wade, the 12-year-old son of husband Dwyane Wade.

"Family Time Is The Best Time," the star captioned the photos while dipping baby Kaavia upside down. The former NBA star was not seen in the photos, but he's been showing tons of support to his wife over the past week while she deals with being fired from "America's Got Talent."

The new holiday photos come days after Gabrielle Union had a 5-hour sit down with NBC and "AGT" executives. It was reported that much of the conversation during the meeting revolved around Union's gripes with Simon Cowell's behind-the-scenes antic on "America's Got Talent" as he plays roles of both talent and boss.

NBC released a statement about the discussions and what the plans hold for the future:

"The initial conversation was candid and productive. While there will be a further investigation to get a deeper understanding of the facts, we are working with Gabrielle to come to a positive resolution."

Gabrielle Union also made a statement on the meeting and seemed hopeful about the eventual outcome of the negotiations:

"We had a lengthy 5-hour, and what I thought to be, productive meeting yesterday. I was able to, again, express my unfiltered truth. I led with transparency and my desire and hope for real change."

It turns out Gabrielle Union isn't the only former "AGT" judge to have issues with Simon Cowell, as both Howard Stern and Sharon Osbourne also came out this week and nailed the British TV producer for similar antics during their times as judges.

"How is it that Simon Cowell has orchestrated this, Stern said Monday morning on his SiriusXM radio show, "The Howard Stern Show."

"He sets it up that the men stay, no matter how ugly they are, no matter how old they are, no matter how fat they are, no matter how talentless they are."

Stern said he does like Howie Mandel, but that it's completely "obvious" the show keeps switching out female judges for "hotter chicks and younger chicks."

Osbourne sounded off about Cowell during her daytime talk show, "The Talk."

“It is a boys club, okay, it is,” Osbourne said. "And the boys take care of each other, and the women are not paid as much as the men. I was on the show before Howie. I was one of them that helped put the show where it was."

Simon Cowell has not directly responded to any of the criticism, but he has reportedly lawyered up with an elite team of legal professionals to help him navigate the situation.
