At the end of the 24th season of “The View,” Meghan McCain made her exit from the show. Although a new season was underway, the search for a permanent conservative replacement for McCain still continued. However, ABC has been inviting guest hosts to take on conservative views and this time, McCain’s mother Cindy McCain, made an appearance.
After revealing that she was made the U.S. representative to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture, Whoopi Goldberg cut to the chase and asked for an update on their former co-host and her baby.

“They’re wonderful, they’re just adorable,” Cindy McCain said. “I was just at my granddaughter’s first birthday last week. She’s just precious and Meghan loves being a mom, she’s just suited for it, it’s wonderful.”
“The View” showed the cutest photo of Liberty on the screen and the co-hosts were smitten with the overload of cuteness.
Cindy also said that McCain and her husband, Ben Domenech, are “so happy” and “doing really well.”
Reactions To Cindy McCain As A Guest Host
After “The View” shared the clip of Cindy on the show, it roused a lot of positive responses from fans. Many viewers believed she would be a good addition to the cast and gave their take on her daughter as well.
“Keep bringing Cindy back! She’s a lovely guest co-host,” a viewer said.
“So glad to see Cindy McCain and her sharing of the beautiful granddaughter! Thanks Cindy for your contributions to our country,” a fan added.
“Cindy is so delightful compared to her rude angry daughter. I hope they bring her back more often,” a YouTube user commented.
“It’s hard to believe that there’s a sane McCain again,” another viewer said.
“Tho, I’m not a big fan of Meghan, I do like her mother Mrs. McCain. I think she’d be a good fit for ambassador,” another fan commented.
“This McCain should be the one on the show, not the other,” another YouTube user mentioned.
Megan McCain’s Exit
On August 6, 2021, McCain officially took her final bow on the daytime talk show. This came a month after she announced her departure from “The View.”
A couple of McCain’s loved ones appeared on the latest installment of “The View” to help bid farewell to the provocative conservative panelist, who has helmed the series opposite Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro for nearly four years.
In July, McCain declared her resignation from the ABC program. She cited a desire to stay with her family in Washington, D.C., where she spent the majority of the COVID-19 pandemic. “The View,” however, is taped in New York City.
“I have this really wonderful life here that I ultimately feel like I didn’t want to leave,” said McCain, who is married to conservative writer Domenech.
The 36-year-old daughter of late Republican Sen. John McCain and Cindy McCain has been a co-host of the show since 2017, when she took up the mantle of the series’ sole conservative pundit.
Since then, she has frequently sparred with her co-stars over a wide range of hot-button topics. She has also drawn sharp public criticism for her many controversial stances, such as her support of former President Donald Trump’s widely condemned use of the term “China Virus” when referring to COVID-19.
A Milestone
This year, the daytime talk show will be celebrating 25 years of being on air. The iconic show created by Barbara Walters will be hitting the milestone this year and fans will now be able to enjoy a new theme song, “For My Girls.”
Although the theme song had been playing in the background since the beginning of the season, it was on September 30 that the show made it official– Goldberg made the announcement at the top of the hour. She said that Nicole Scherzinger was joining Brandy Norwood in the vocals of the new theme song called “For My Girls.”
ABC confirmed in a press release that Hollywood Records would be releasing the track of “For My Girls” on all digital platforms.
Reactions To The Theme Song
After the theme song for “The View” was announced on the show, fans took to social media to react to the new tune by Brandy and Scherzinger.
“Come through Brandy! Love hearing her sing and her voice,” a fan said.
“Wow, you literally got the best songwriter to do the work. Can’t wait to hear it. I love all her songs,” a viewer added.
“Wait this is a BOP! I ADORE NICOLE + BRANDY ALOT,” a YouTube user commented.
“Brandy is always booked & ready in the world of entertainment,” another fan mentioned.
“Let’s go Nicole, you’re the best,” another viewer said.
“Diane Warren is the undisputed Queen of American songwriting. Unbelievably prolific,” another YouTube user replied.
