The new trailer should provide us with a glimpse of what Diana has been doing all these years. Based on the title, the movie will obviously take place in the 80s, roughly seventy-some years since we last saw her. We know that she never returned to Themyscira but remained in the mortal world.

It'll be interesting to see just how Diana has survived all these years and avoided detection from anyone who might figure out that she doesn't age.

Chris Pine Will Return

Despite his character, Steve Trevor, dying in the first movie, we do know that Chris Pine will be appearing in the new film. He's already been spotted on the set, so Steve Trevor will play a part despite being dead for decades. We're still not sure exactly what he'll be doing or how significant his role will be. For all we know, Steve Trevor could simply just appear in a flashback or a dream, but we're excited to find out.

Kristen Wiig Will Be Our Villain

The release of the new 'Wonder Woman' movie trailer probably means that we'll get a glimpse of Kristin Wiig in her villain role. She's going to be playing Wonder Woman's famous adversary, Cheetah.

Playing the villain in a superhero movie is definitely a departure from Wiig's previous roles, so fans are curious to see exactly what she does with this part. But given that Wiig has proven to be a versatile actress, there's a lot of faith that she'll deliver an impressive performance.

Fans Are Counting Down

'Wonder Woman' fans everywhere are counting down the days to the release of the movie, and director Patty Jenkins is fanning the fire.

“All I can say is that 1984 itself is definitely very evocative to what’s important in that movie and resonates with right now. I picked 1984 for a very specific reason," said Jenkins.

"I think it was the pinnacle of the success in the ‘80s, in my opinion, because it’s before the market started to get a little more struggling as the ‘80s went on. And it was like the top of the top. It was such an incredible time. I feel like there’s something about the excess of that period of time, which is so linked up to where we are in the world right now, that it’s set there for a reason. That’s all I can say.”
