Jenelle Evans Set for Return to 'Teen Mom 2' Amid Split With David

By Gary Trock

It turns out Jenelle Evans really just did need to ditch her husband to rekindle her romance with MTV, because weeks after splitting from her controversial spouse Evans is slated to reunite with her "Teen Mom" co-stars. According to the TV Guide listing for the December 10 episode of the "Teen Mom 2" reunion, Evans will be returning.

"Jenelle returns to discuss her final season; Kail and Vee look back at their tumultuous past; Briana calls out Devoin; and Chelsea opens up about her postpartum issues," the description reads.

She's set for the 2nd part of the Season 9 reunion, but it's unclear when the episode was taped.

MTV Had Dumped Her

MTV announced they had cut all ties with Jenelle and her husband David Eason back in May after the controversial killing of the reality star's french bulldog, Nugget. In a statement, the network claimed it had already stopped filming with David, as he was reportedly aggressive toward production crews, and that they had nothing else planned with Jenelle.

"MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since,” an MTV spokesperson said in a statement.

“Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season,” the statement ended.

Jenelle actually took the news in a mature fashion and said:

"I was a little bit shocked but I saw it coming. It’s shocking still but I respect their decision and have nothing but love for MTV. This is a new chapter for me and my family. I will continue to try what’s best for me and my family.”

The wording on Jenelle by MTV was obviously done carefully ... just in case execs changed their minds. Lucky for the star, she appears to be back in the good graces of the network.

David Plans On Releasing His Own 'Truth'

As Jenelle and David work through their split, and her restraining order remains intact, the metalworker is taking to Instagram to make it clear he's got something to say. On Thursday David shared a throwback picture of himself from when he was a teenager, and argued that many fans have misjudged his character.

This is so embarrassing to post and a bad picture at that. My 15 year old skinny ass with a mop on my head, vitiligo just starting to appear on my face. I apparently had a girl beside me ... And some jewelry in my ears."

David, who has been unable to see his daughter Ensley, continued with his Instagram post, detailing how hard he's worked his whole life and promising to set the record straight.

"But what nobody sees is the fact that this was a 15 year old boy who had a full time job, bought a car before I had license. I even had my own house in three different places around this time. Moving from rental to rental yea, but hell I know some grown ass men that STILL do that. I would be married and about to have my first child in just 3 more years after this picture was taken. I've always had it tough on my path through life. I learned to get through by focusing on the day I have been given and learning from my past. So go ahead, laugh it up just remember nobody knows my story. I've been handed the shit end of the stick more than anyone I know but I always make it through one way or another. God bless everyone who believes in me, I can't wait to give you my truth!"
