The accusations and alleged transgressions by the NBC network and the show, America's Got Talent, are still fresh in the minds of people, and no doubt, also Julianna Hough's. This did not stop here, however, from appearing on the NBC special that appeared last night, 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center', where she performed alongside star, Jordan Fisher. The duo sang and danced to the song 'All I Want for Christmas Is Love'. From the performance, it wouldn't appear that Hough was even involved in any aspect of the scandal. Still, you have to wonder what she's thinking.

There are so many ways that this situation could be analyzed and countless angles that could be taken. What are we to make of it? Well, first, Hough was never the one who claimed that there were any racist or sexist tones directed at her, or anyone, for that matter. When it was released that her role would no longer be continued onto the next season of AGT, she took the firing in stride she took the firing in stride. Whether or not she was aware of anything, we don't currently know. Of course, it could be argued because she's not of color, the alleged behaviors didn't affect her, but it seems more so that she was simply taking the professional route and trying to maintain a working relationship with the network.

Hough's Statement on Her Time with NBC and AGT

Shortly after her dismissal from America's Got Talent, Hough released a statement in Variety saying, "I had a wonderful time on America's Got Talent, I loved working with the cast, crew and producers. I am happy to continue my working relationship with NBC," She further went on to say that she was excited about the upcoming projects she had with the network including Holidays with the Houghs and Christmas at Rockefeller Center. As it currently stand, it seems that NBC has Hough in their plans, regardless if that won't be on America's Got Talent.

Gabrielle Union Update

As for Gabrielle Union, she's still purporting that the working environment was unprofessional and that she was discriminated against through wardrobe notes that consistently urged her to change up her hairstyles, as the current rotation that she was going through was 'too black' for the AGT audience. Union did recently come out and say that she had a meeting with NBC to discuss the situation and that overall, the talks were productive. We'll have to wait, though, to see what comes of these meetings.

It would be nothing short to say this whole situation is a complete mess and there are so many moving parts. It's nice to see that Hough is still able to work for the network, but NBC needs to make changes and correct any wrongdoings to Union. Suffice it to say that it would be in their best interest to do the right thing here. While it's not a sure thing that they will, given their past history of sweeping these types of issues under the rug, perhaps, this will be the moment that changes NBC's approach and change their overall image.
