'Wheel of Fortune's' Pat Sajak Recently Spotted in Public After Emergency

Pat Sajak is 'Wheel of Fortune's beloved host. He has been hosting the iconic game show since 1975 along with Vanna White. Recently Pat Sajak was reported to be going through health issues, but seems to be recovering well. He was spotted at a Washington Capital game with his daughter.

He was spotted in the crowd wearing a Capitals hat and sweater. According to People, NBC sports commentator, Craig Laughlin, noticed him and gave him a shout out on air.

"Always great to see Pat around the arena," Laughlin said. "Loves his hockey. He's getting better. He says the worst has passed Joe B after that surgery so well wishes to Pat and the family."

According to PopCulture, on November 8th, ABC announced that they were forced to cancel the taping of November 7th's episode. The show resumed taping with Vanna White hosting solo. The show released a statement explaining that Pat hand to undergo emergency which startled many dedicated viewers.

"Our taping on Thursday was canceled because host Pat Sajak underwent successful emergency surgery to correct a blocked intestine," the statement read. "He is resting comfortably and looking forward to getting back to work. Taping resumed today as scheduled and Vanna White has stepped in as host."

Sajak's appearance at the hockey game was his first public sighting since the statement was issued. He also celebrated Thanksgiving with his family. He seemed like he was in good spirits cracking jokes via twitter.

Fans are elated to hear from Sajak again and see him in good health.

It is unclear when Pat Sajak will return to 'Wheel of Fortune.' It is implied that he does intend on coming back. Regardless, best wishes to Pat's recovery!
