Felicity Huffman Is Thankful This 'Thanksgiving' As She Shares Happy Moments With Her Loved Ones

Actress,, Felicity Huffman who was recently released after 11 days of her 14-day prison sentence has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving period. A prison official disclosed to NBC News that the star actress was released early because of the policy that surrounds inmates being released on weekends. She had pleaded guilty to the admissions scandal that happened in Blue College, where she paid the sum of $15,000 bribe to someone to help her daughter take the College test.

Huffman pleaded guilty to this act and was sentenced to 14 days in prison, a fine of $30,000 and community service which will last for 250 hours. When further investigations were carried out on the matter, it was revealed that 50 other people were involved and they all faced the court's judgement. Aside from this, Huffman was also found guilty of spending over $500,000 to get her children into the University of Southern California.

However, Huffman is thankful that she got to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with her husband, children and loved ones in general.

The actress recounted that there have been series of obstacles in her way in 2019 and the jail sentence was the worst of it all. She also mentioned that she feels exceptionally blessed this Thanksgiving as she is moving on from all the troubles she has faced. According to an insider, the "Desperate Housewives" star is looking forward to 2020 as a great year for her and her family.

The actress was born, Felicity Kendall Huffman on December 9, 1962, and she has received multiple awards for her exemplary roles in the movie industry.

Her acting career kicked off with theatre work in 1990 and soon, she landed several supporting roles in movies and television drama. From 1998 to 200, the actress featured in a comedy-drama titled "Sports Night" and won a Golden Globe Award for this role. Her debut role was in "Desperate Housewives" which aired from 2004-2012. Her role in this series earned her a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2005, Huffman shocked everyone when she took on a transgender role in a film titled "Transamerica" and this made her a force to be reckoned within the industry.

On September 6, 1997, Huffman walked down the aisle with her boyfriend of 15 years, William H. Macy. The couple had been on and off throughout these year, but finally decided to settle down. They also share two daughters, Georgia and Sophia.

Huffman and Macy have acted in several movies together and they are one of the couples who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in March 2012.

In this same year, Huffman started a website known as "The Flicka," which was engineered towards helping women and mothers, and she remains one of its largest contributors to date.
