Charlie Sheen just scored a huge victory in family court, after a judge ordered he owes ex-wife Denise Richards ZERO dollars in child support going forward, and nothing dating back over three years.
According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the 'Two And A Half Men' star appeared in an L.A. County Courtroom today, asking a judge to lower his obligation to his ex-wife to nothing, following a dispute over the amount he was forced to pay every month.
"The Court sets (Sheen's) child support obligation and arrearages to (Denise) for the minor children Sam Sheen and Lola Sheen to $0 (zero dollars) per month commencing from August 1, 2018," the court order reads.
Denise Richards' Daughter Accuses Her Of Having 'Abusive' Household
The court ruling comes on the heels of Charlie's daughter -- Sami Sheen -- moving out of her mother's home and in with her father. At the time, the 17-year-old made the shocking allegation in a viral TikTok Video that she was in an "abusive household."
She wrote an emotional message over a video of herself looking upset, saying, "1 year ago today: trapped in an abusive household, hated myself, would go days without eating or sleeping, insanely depressed, hated school, etc…” The message was followed by a video of herself looking happy, saying, "Now: finally moved out of the hell house, had a spiritual awakening, own 2 cats, happily single, full of self-love, and dropped out of high school :).”
We broke the story, Charlie originally filed documents with the court asking a judge to reduced his child support obligation based on his annual income being diminished. “I have been unable to find steady work, and have been blacklisted from many aspects of the entertainment industry," Sheen wrote.
Charlie Sheen Pleads With Judge To Lower Child Support Payments
At the time, Sheen claimed he was paying Denise Richards $20,000 a month for their two daughters and Brooke Mueller another $55,000 a month for his sons Bob and Max.
The famous actor relayed that he was in a "dire financial crisis" right now, and has less than $10 million. Now, that seems like a huge number considering, but remember he was pulling in about $1.8 million an episode while working as an actor.
"I think what transpired today is extremely fair," Sheen told Us Weekly as he left the courthouse. Adding, "It speaks to not just today, but it speaks historically to that same fairness."
Charlie Sheen Now Owes Denise Richards...Nothing!
A source close to Denise lashed out against the ruling, telling Page Six, "Denise was never served this court date. [Charlie] did this on purpose. He filed two years ago and he kept pushing the court date. Denise kept asking when the date was and he blew her off. He pushed it off because he didn’t want records of the child support he was paying Brooke [Mueller] to impact the case after he agreed to pay them both the same amount of child support.”
As for the abusive household allegation, a Denise source responded, "Denise set normal rules that any parent would be setting, She’s a mom and a parent and there are rules. She didn’t want to follow the rules. Charlie didn’t support implementing Denise’s rules. He has a different way of parenting and Sami decided to live with her dad.”
