Last week for Taylor Swift and Swifties were a long draining due to the restriction put on her by Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta. Taylor went posted on social media that she was being blocked by her antagonizers from performing the songs she wanted during her Artist of the Decade performance at the AMAs. Taylor made a public cry for help and plenty of musicians like Selena Gomez and Tinashe supported her on social media. This must have done something because there are new developments!

First Response

This is part of the initial response from Big Machine to Taylor: As Taylor Swift’s partner for over a decade, we were shocked to see her Tumblr statements yesterday based on false information. At no point did we say Taylor could not perform on the AMAs or block her Netflix special. Despite our persistent efforts to find a private and mutually satisfactory solution, Taylor made a unilateral decision last night to enlist her fanbase in a calculated manner that greatly affects the safety of our employees and their families. Taylor, the narrative you have created does not exist.

Smells like BS!

Bad History

This would have to blow over soon because it was putting a lot of pressure on the two men. Also, the public knows about the previous conflict the parties have. So this move by Scooter and Scott looked like they are antagonizing her. It is bizarre that this popped up right before the performance, but makes sense! Something about this whole situation is odd like it's all for drama. It seems too planned, but this is just our cynic side.

Resolution Reached

Here’s the statement from the Big Machine Label Group and Dick Clark Productions:

“The Big Machine Label Group and Dick Clark Productions announce that they have come to terms on a licensing agreement that approves their artists’ performances to stream post-show and for re-broadcast on mutually approved platforms. This includes the upcoming American Music Awards performances. It should be noted that recording artists do not need label approval for live performances on television or any other live media. Record label approval is only needed for contracted artists’ audio and visual recordings and in determining how those works are distributed.”

This means they were doing exactly as Taylor said. How disgusting! There must be a lot of conversations behind doors for the people to get to this place. One must question why the two men did this, to begin with? Like what was the motive for doing this? Especially if they were going to allow her to do it anyways. There must be money involved!

Your fans and musicians alike will be excited to hear this! Either way, we will be watching her perform all of her hits! Rock on Taylor!
