Ashton Kutcher is known for his good deeds and humanitarian efforts. He has made an effort to put an end to sex trafficking, and now he has made yet another generous donation. It all started with one tweet. A single mother witnesses one of her son's team members on the IDEA Tres Lagos cross country suffer an injury from worn-out running shoes. "If I could have bought them myself, I would have done it," the single mom, Gutierrez said.

She reached out to Kutcher after he posted his phone number on Instagram. "I've been following him for a long [time] and I know about all the work that he does for the kids and everything, and I thought, 'Come on, let's give it a shot,'" she said. She initially got an automated message with a link to his site that he uses to interact with fans. She then heard back from one of Ashton's representatives asking for details about the shoes.

"I didn't think much of it. I didn't know if it was true or if I was being played or if was just something that it wasn't going to happen," she said. "But there were six pairs of Asics running shoes waiting at my front door the Friday before the race." She humorously added that the boys on the team were confused about the gesture. "Some of them were like, '[Who is Ashton?] (' Like some of them didn't even know," she said.

The moms, however, were fan-girling. "The moms were more excited than the kids were. The moms were the most excited of all." Ashton's team also reached out to the team wishing them good luck on their meet. "I guess it gave them a little bit of push that day," she said. Whether it was Ashton Kutcher, his shoes, or the Kutcher's team's support, the boys had everything they needed to win the meet and went on to come in third at the state meet.

Guttierez was shocked that her plan was successful and that Kutcher was able to help the entire team. "I didn't expect it to happen, and I'm very grateful for it," she said. "The only thing we want is to say thank you for everything he has done." His efforts weren't publicized by his team and the man who sent out the shoes did not respond to CNN's emails."I don't think he thought of it as a big deal. He just did it as a genuine gesture for the kids," she said.
