'Gilligan's Island' star Dawn Wells wanted her personal items split amongst family and friends, and the directive came in the form of a will which was filed with the L.A. County Courts.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the 'Gilligan's Island' star's last will and testament were filed with the court to probate the case and ensure the actress's final wishes were completed.

Dawn's will is dated January 28, 2015, and states she wanted to be "kept alive at all costs." But, if "there is no hope and more time given, my directives will make decisions."

As you know, Wells -- who played Mary Ann on the popular television show -- died in Los Angeles back in December from complications due to COVID-19. She was 82 years old.

Interestingly, Dawn claims she emailed her friends and family to see what items from her personal property they might want when she passes away. "I have requested via email, from friends and family to state what possessions of mine they would like to have. If two or more request the same item, my Executors will decide," she continued.

"List to be provided of potential heirs (friends and family) to receive what has been designated. The Executors will divide as stated," it read. An attachment to the probate filing lays out seven different people who are on the list.

In the end, the 'Gillian's Island' star said, "All my belongings will be divided and by a list provided by heirs request and supervised by my Executors. I am requesting same heirs are to be decided by Executors."

At the time of her death, Wells was one of two surviving members of the original cast of 'Gilligan's Island' -- Tina Louise (who played Ginger) is not the sole surviving cast member. Incredibly, the show only ran for three years (1964-1967) but became a cultural phenomenon.

Dawn was cast on the show after being crowned Miss Nevada in the 1959 Miss America pageant. Following its success, Dawn established an institute for up-and-coming filmmakers in Idaho, calling it the "Spud Film Institute."
