The Obama power couple showed the world that their marriage is still going strong after 29 years, as they penned heartwarming anniversary messages for each other.
Instagram followers of the 44th US President Barack Obama and his First Lady Michelle Obama were delighted with the touching posts of the pair who were married in Chicago on October 3, 1992.
The political figures share two daughters Malia Obama, 23, and Sasha Obama, 20.
Their Heartwarming Tributes
Barack uploaded two present-day photos to his Instagram page. In the first picture, he and his wife are seated on a couch, sharing a warm embrace.
The former president held on to Michelle’s waist in the second photo while the two gazed out a window.

In the caption of the loved-up post to “Michelle,” Barack praised her many notable accolades and said he has loved watching the world get to know her.
The 60-year-old concluded his message with, “my best friend. I can’t imagine life without you.”
The former first lady took her tribute to the past with a throwback and present-day collage of her and the historical political figure.
The old photo featured the young pair embracing each other while seated on a couch. The recent photo was the same one her partner uploaded in his first slide.
“How it started vs. how it’s going. Happy anniversary, Barack—love you!” the “Becoming” author wrote in her captions.
Both of their posts received over a million likes from fans and friends.
A follower of the former head of state commented on what an amazing First Lady his partner was. “True love, I can read that body language lol,” said another well-wisher.
On Michelle’s Instagram page, a fan said, “Elegant, simply, and with love. You are such a model to follow.”[sic]
A celebrity friend Valerie Jarret noted she remembered their wedding was filled with love, family, friends, and hope.
Canceled Celebrations
In August, The Blast shared that the pandemic rained all over the birthday plans of the first African-American president.
The 60th birthday bash was meant to be held in Martha’s Vineyard but could not due to a spread in the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
The proposed occasion, which an article by the “The Post” had referred to as a public health “nightmare,” included almost 700 people, about 475 guests, and 200 hired hands.
An intended gathering of so many people, including Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney, was a bad look for the celebrant amid rising contamination cases.

The Obamas’ spokesman Hannah Hankins then released a statement in “The New York Times,” announcing that the party would be scaled back to include only family and close friends.
Father’s Day With The Family
In June 2019, The Blast also reported that the father-of-two took his household on vacation to the south of France.
The writer of “A Promised Land” spent his father’s day sightseeing with Michelle, Malia, and Sasha.
The close-knit family toured the Palais des Papes in Avignon, the biggest gothic palace in the world built in the 1300s, and had dinner at Michelin-starred restaurant, La Mirande.
The proud wife posted an Instagram picture of young Barack with his kids, writing, “Pretty grateful for this guy. Happy Father’s Day.”
