Political strategist and commentator, Ana Navarro has been a contributor and rotating co-host on ABC’s talk show “The View,” where her sharp tongue and charisma quickly endeared her to viewers.
The award-winning talk show has had 22 permanent co-hosts and has run for a total of 25 seasons so far.
Navarro began to make regular appearances as a rotating co-host with permanent hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Joy Behar in season 25 of the show.
She recently opened up in an episode of the show about her personal issues, such as her mom’s debilitating health and her regrets about things she never did with and for her mom when she was healthy.
Navarro’s Regrets About Her Mother
Navarro opened up in a recent episode of “The View” about her mom, who was recently hospitalized.
She shared on the show saying; “I have regrets for things I haven’t done and this week I’ve been thinking a lot about it. I have told you all that my mom has been incredibly sick and she had her last rites given a few days ago.”

Navarro also spoke about how she regrets everything she could have done with her mom when she was still healthy but never did because she was always busy.
She also noted that although her mom just got out of the ICU, she is still very sick and has little time left. She mentioned that she now calls her mum every day to check up on her and make up for the lost time.
Navarro Speaks More About Her Mother’s Health
Navarro recently made a post on Instagram where she gave more details about her mother’s condition and how she would try her best to make every moment left with her mom special.
The post read, “My mom had been hospitalized in Nicaragua, barely conscious, unable to speak for over a week, Doctors said she had only days to live. I’ve worked through it. It’s the only way I know how to deal with things. But I’ve done a lot of crying behind the scenes, bracing for bad news. It’s been really hard. It’s killed me to see how distressed my dad, who has not left her side, has been.”
She then revealed that she is grateful for the gift of a little more time with her mom, and thankful that she got to speak with her the night before.
She also shared her gratitude and thanks to everyone who prayed for her mother to get better and wished her family well.
Fans Show Support For Navarro
After she spoke about her mother on “The View” and on her Instagram page, Navarro received a lot of support and encouragement from her fans, who advised her to be with her mother in person.
They shared words of comfort for the television host and gave her sound advice in the process. One fan said;
“Go see your mom, now that you have been given a second chance before it is too late, blessings to you both and hugs.”
“Oh Ana. Sorry. Strength to your mom, your family and you,” another follower added.
Another replied to the post by writing, “I’m so sorry Ana. I’m praying for your entire family and that God gives you all peace that surpasses all understanding.”
Fans Called For Navarro To Be Made A Permanent Host
Many fans of Navarro and the audience of “The View” have recently been calling for Navarro to be given the fifth seat on the co-host table and to be made a permanent host on the show.
Her entry to the show came after the controversial exit of co-host Meghan McCain. Since she came on the show, she maintained a friendly and witty rapport with other co-hosts and the audience at large.
In essence, this endeared her to many who consistently watch the show. She helped bring back the tranquil and humorous discussions that were not common before she came on, and for that many fans have grown to love and respect her.
Fans then took to Twitter to call for Navarro to be employed as a full co-host on the panel. Some of their tweets read,
“Hey #TheView loving the season so far. Just give Ana the 5th chair full-time.”
“Ana Navarro needs to be a permanent co-host on #TheView.”
