Lil Nas X is always outspoken, regarding his sexuality, as he came out as gay, back in 2019. That was during the same time the turned into a superstar, with his chart-topping “Old Town Road” single, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus. Since then, Nas X has done a great job of being unapologetic, in who he is, regardless of social media approves or not.
Nas X Says He Dated Co-Star In His ‘That’s What I Want’ Music Video
Nas X released his debut studio album, “Montero,” over a week ago. One of the most popular records from that album has since been “That’s What I Want.” In a new interview with SiriusXM’s Hits 1 LA hosts Tony Fly and Symon, he revealed that he was dating the costar in this video, Yai Ariza. They’ve since broken up, but the Atlanta native reveals that the two are very much on good terms.
Nas X Doesn’t Rule Out Getting Back With Ariza
Nas X went on to reveal in this interview that he and Ariza becoming a couple again is something that could very well happen again.
“We were dating, and we are still on very good terms,” Nas X explained. “You know, we may date again, I’m sure.”
Nas X also added that the two split, due to him needing to focus on his music. He emphasized that he does love Ariza though, and how much of an amazing person he is. Nas X even went as far as labeling Ariza as the “best person he’s ever dated.” Nas X is also “very much in love,” but is trying to “manage.” In the end, Nas X is letting what’s meant to be come to him, regarding relationships, as he says “If it’s meant [to be], it will happen in the future. … Life is long.”
Nas X Is Freely Dating Now
In an interview this week with Andy Cohen on Sirius XM, he also touched on how he got done dating Ariza, and how he’s casually dating now. At this point, Nas X is fine with kissing a guy “every blue moon.”
“I was seeing someone, [but] I kind of decided I don’t want to anymore,” he said, later adding, “I just want to work on music, and every now and then, you know, maybe I’ll kiss a guy every blue moon.”
Nas X’s ‘Montero’ Became The Number Two Album In The US
Nas X’s “Montero” album in general, saw massive success. It was released on September 17, and saw immediate approval, on social media. This project contained 15 tracks, and featured hit singles such as “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” “Sun Goes Down,” and “Industry Baby,” featuring Jack Harlow. Additional artists featured were Elton John, Doja Cat, and Megan Thee Stallion. After an impressive first week, Montero debuted at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart. Nas X was second to Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy,” album, which has been at number one, for four consecutive weeks now. This is also Nas X’s second straight number two project, as his “7” EP in 2019, reached the same position.
