Stalker Who Threatened To Kill Eminem Receives Lengthy Probation Sentence

Eminem has been dealing with a stalker for two years now, with one incident reaching a very scary climax, on April 5, 2020.
28-year-old Matthew David Hughes was arrested, after breaking into Eminem's home, and was actually able to find the legendary rapper. At that moment, Hughes told Eminem that his purpose in being there was to kill him. Now, Hughes is finally facing some consequences, for his constant stalking, and threat, against Eminem.
Hughes Receives Five Years Of Probation
According to the Macomb Daily, Hughes has been sentenced to five years of probation. He was initially charged with second-degree home invasion. Hughes had also entered a plea deal, after spending 524 days in a Macomb County jail.
In this plea deal, the charges that Hughes was able to get dropped were first-degree home invasion, malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000, and assault of a jail employee.
In the court hearing, prosecutors also noted that the statements made by Hughes were "confusing.
Eminem's Home Is In Suburban Detroit
This house is also located outside of Detroit, Eminem's hometown. The area is Clinton Township. The rapper is said to have agreed with the outcome of this decision but was not present at the hearing.
Hughes was also reportedly able to enter the home, after breaking the kitchen door, with a brick paver. At the time, Eminem was sleeping and was soon able to get Hughes to leave the property, after the threat was made, to kill Eminem. Security guards were outside the house and were able to hold Hughes until police arrived, at the scene.
Eminem Appeared On New Song, For New 'Venom' Film
Eminem fans were also treated to new music from the rapper, as he appeared on Skylar Grey's "Last One Standing," as it also featured Mozzy and Polo G. This song is on the tracklist for the new film, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage," which is in theaters now.
Eminem Last Released Album In 2020
The last time that Eminem released a studio album, came in January 2020, with "Music To Be Murdered By." This was his 11th studio album, as it was led by the singles, "Godzilla," and "Darkness," featuring the late Juice WRLD. Other appearances included Skylay Gray, Ed Sheeran, Young M.A, Anderson .Paak, and more. In December 2020, the deluxe edition was released, as fans received a "Side B" edition.
Eminem To Headline Halftime Show Of Super Bowl LVI In Los Angeles
On Thursday, news also broke that Eminem would be performing at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show, in Los Angeles, in February 2022. Additional superstars include Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre. Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg. Fans were immediately impressed by this lineup, especially with the fact that there are three LA natives part of this, which are Lamar, Dre, and Snoop Dogg. Eminem is also expected to perform some of his biggest hit records of the last three decades, notably from the 2000s and 2010s.
