Katy Perry is opening up about the fact that she has never won a Grammy Award.

The “Teenage Dream” singer, who has won countless MTV VMAs, Billboard music awards, People’s Choice Awards and more has never ever taken home the coveted gold gramophone.
Since stepping onto the scene back in 2008 with her debut smash hit “I Kissed A Girl,” Katy has sold over 48 million adjusted albums, accumulated 50 billion lifetime streams and has made a massive name for herself in the music industry.
The very beginning!
She’s released 34 singles with nine of them becoming No. 1s.
While speaking to Variety for their “2021 Power of Women” issue, the “American Idol” judge opened up about what makes her feel most successful.
Obviously, there was a lot of ground to cover, which included the topic of Grammy Awards or lack thereof.
Katy took the discussion in stride and said, “I’ve been nominated 13 times before. … To be honest, I always go by numbers, and they don’t lie. And I’m good with that.”
She added, “Everyone has an opinion and that’s wonderful, but numbers are numbers. Math is sacred.”
Blessed, not stressed
Her legion of fans called the “Katy Cats” are there to support her.
One fan tweeted, “She’s iconic, the fact that she never won just proves how pointless the Grammys are.”
Another said, “She doesn’t need a Grammy to prove her impact.”
Katy is very aware that a trophy doesn’t speak nearly as much volume as her inner happiness.
When asked what makes her feel powerful, she said, “It’s not necessarily any of my achievements on paper. It’s just my day-to-day mental health and making sure that I’m happy.”
Of course, being a mother to Daisy Dove is also among those powers!
Baby Momma
In addition to being a hit-making artist, ‘AI’ judge, and mother, Katy is ready to add environmentalist to her resume.
While discussing her bow in front of the Lincoln Memorial on January 20, she told the outlet, “I thought of Daisy and when she’s 36, what’s this world going to look like? And could I have helped in any capacity with the gifts I’ve been given?”
She expressed that climate change is her “No. 1 issue” with fighting for women’s rights a close second.
