Larry David Explains 'Disturbing' Ear-Plugging Moment During Fashion Week

Larry David was caught on candid camera being the MOST Larry David version of himself during New York Fashion Week.

Earlier in September, the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actor was spotted taking in high-end fashion during NYFW.

It did seem a bit odd and out of the ordinary to see Larry at a Fashion Week show, but he did create “Seinfeld,” so he’s got the clout to attend.

We digress.

The viral video shows Larry sitting in the front row during a show with his fingers plugging up his ears, slouching over on his knees, and staring at the floor. There was another shot taken of him with his hands on his head clearly looking a bit in distress.

His daughter, Cazzie David, recently opened up on the viral moment calling it ‘disturbing.’

During an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the actress spoke to show host, Alex Cooper, about the moment and admitted she was mortified.

“I found it so disturbing,” Cazzie explained. “For me, it was like this is a man who was dragged to some place he doesn’t want to be, that he didn’t know what it would be.”

The 27-year-old added that her dad “doesn’t know what a fashion show is,” and most likely had no interest in attending.

She equated the viral video to her dad seemingly having ‘a breakdown’ and it was not his intention to be funny or draw attention to himself.

Cazzie said she ended up texting her sister, Romy, when the video and photos went viral.

“We were both like, ‘Oy. This is so sad…’ It was simply just too loud for him to be there,” she explained.

Despite Larry actually being less than impressed and Cazzie worried about him, she said she’s happy the viral moment could make others laugh.

After all, he is comedic actor.

Another topic of discussion during Cazzie’s visit to ‘CHD,’ was relationships.

Cazzie used to date ‘SNL’ comedian Pete Davidson. The former couple dated from 2016-2018; however, things between the two didn’t appear to end amicably. 

Soon after their breakup, Pete was in the arms of Ariana Grande and the two were engaged.

Cazzie revealed she was in a toxic relationship prior to her current one which she said is ‘healthy.’

We must note, she did not reveal who the toxic relationship was with, but she did “it’s been a while” since she’s been in a relationship.
