American reality star Clare Crawley got candid about suffering from sexual abuse by a Catholic priest and her life as a survivor.
Crawley, whose parents placed Catholic priests on a pedestal, spoke to US Weekly about attending Catholic school and becoming the “victim of a predator.”
The star’s mother is of Mexican descent so religion “is very deep in our roots,” she added.
Taking Back Her Power
HollywoodLife was granted exclusive access to a preview of “Red Table Talk: The Estefans” where the hairstylist sat down with the Estefans to detail her childhood molestation.

In the sneak peek, the 40-year-old said that predators bank on their victims’ silence. She said that they bank on,“…us not opening our mouth and that gives them that power.”
That was why after 39 years, instead of letting it negatively affect her, she thought of how to take her power bank, saying,
“For so long the weight I was carrying was unworthiness, embarrassment, feeling not worthy of the church standing up for me.”
“The Bachelorette” star said she thought to herself, “this is not my burden to carry anymore.
Instead, what she would carry is “being a survivor, being proud that this is not mine to hold onto.”
A Bachelorette Once More
On September 28th, PEOPLE revealed that the reality star and her boyfriend, Dale Moss, have called it quits again.
A source confirmed to the outlet that the split was mutual. The couple had previously broken things off in January before making up and resuming their romantic relationship, soon after.
The tv personalities arrived as each other’s plus one’s to the U.S. Open in New York City, earlier this month.
Last week, fans began to suspect the couple had parted ways when Crawley did not show up to Moss’ birthday as his date.
The pair were introduced on last year’s run of “The Bachelorette” and exited early as an engaged couple, only to call it quits in January.
The fiancée then took to Instagram to announce they decided to go their “separate ways” but appreciated the love and support they received as a couple.
The pair confirmed their reunion in April where they later celebrated their first anniversary.
Now the 40-year-old and her 33-year-old partner have split. “It was mutual… It happened two weeks ago,” a source said to PEOPLE.

Her Time On The Famous ABC Show
In February 2019, The Blast reported that Crawley was officially confirmed to be “The Bachelorette”, as suspected by fans.
The position was to go to Hannah Brown but she declined in exchange for a “Dancing With the Stars” tour due to a better money offer.
The TV personality was previously on Juan Pablo’s season of “The Bachelor.” Pablo, like his infamous namesake, never liked to get emotionally deep with the ladies.
Yet Crawley overlooked that and the two had a steamy relationship that secured the hairstylist’s position as a runner-up on the show.
The 40-year-old starred on the “Bachelor” spinoffs “Bachelor in Paradise” and “Bachelor Winter Games” but she is back on the market with her recent breakup.
