Lil Nas X is single but not ready to mingle!
The 22-year-old singer, born Montero Lamar Hill, had an interview with Andy Cohen for Radio Andy on Sirius XM on Tuesday. During their chat, the 53-year-old host pried about the "Old Town Road" hitmaker's love life.
He Was In A Relationship
"I was seeing someone, [but] I kind of decided I don't want to anymore," Lil Nas X responded to Cohen when the latter mentioned the dating rumors surrounding the musician.
Cohen also stated that there are probably "thousands of people applying for the job of Lil Nas X's boyfriend," to which the singer responded:
"There are definitely a couple of people, for sure a couple of people out there."
Focusing On His Career

However, he explained to Cohen that forming a relationship with someone was not one of his priorities right now and that he's focusing on his career.
"Maybe I'm floating around right now," Lil Nas X told the TV host. "I just want to work on music, and every now and then, you know, maybe I'll kiss a guy every blue moon."
A Fan Moment
Cohen also asked the singer whether he met any of his idols at the Met Gala earlier this month.
"I feel like I've met so many great people, but definitely Frank Ocean is top of my list because for one, you know, he represents a lot to me and you'd never see Frank Ocean anywhere," he stated.
"Like, he's one of those people that are not real, you know?" he said jokingly while referencing Ocean's reclusive reputation.
Lil Nas X also shared that they already had interactions on social media prior to meeting at the annual Met Ball. The two talented artists got to meet in person for the first time, and the encounter involved plenty of compliments fired at each other.
"We just like, um, he was like, you know, you know, giving props and congratulations and whatnot. And I was just saying the same thing to him," he recalled. "And just like how much, like his music has shaped my life and whatnot..."
As for a possible collaboration, Lil Nas X revealed that he actually suggested it to the "Thinkin Bout You" singer. So fans need to watch out for that possibility.
One Of His Best Covers
Later in the interview, Cohen also got the chance to tell Lil Nas X about his fondness of his rendition of Dolly Parton's Jolene, which he performed on BBC Radio One last week.
"I also loved your cover of Jolene that you did for BBC and you once again just totally just turned everything on its side because the song is normally sung by a woman," Cohen said. "And hearing you sing about 'Please Don't Take My Man,' it just obviously took on a totally different meaning.'"
According to the singer, he was originally set to perform a Nirvana piece before a new idea struck him.
"We were kind of goofing around, and you know, like doing Jolene, it was like, 'Wait a minute. What if we actually did Jolene?'" he recalled. "And I feel like, you know, the context to it, like completely changes as you just said, I was like, 'Oh, that'd be really cool.' So, you know, I went for it."
