Tommy Lee's son Brandon will not face charges stemming from the infamous fight between the two last month.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office tells The Blast they will not be moving forward with the case. A spokesperson says they declined to file charges due to victim unavailability — meaning Tommy had a change of heart about helping the investigation.

As The Blast previously reported, the two got into a knock-down drag-out fight with Brandon that ended with Tommy in the hospital. When Tommy's fiancée called 911, she was worried things could escalate because Brandon kept guns in his room.

In an interview after the altercation, Brandon put the blame for the incident squarely on Tommy’s drinking.

“I’m devastated at the events of the last several days that have been a result of my father’s alcoholism,” Brandon told PEOPLE.

“I’ve worked tirelessly organizing an intervention and it’s incredibly upsetting that it never came to fruition,” he continued. “I wanted my dad’s hopeful sobriety and recovery to be a private family matter but, as a result of his accusations on social media, I feel forced to speak out. I have and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement as needed. I love my father and just want to see him sober, happy and healthy.”

Tommy read the interview and shot back on Twitter, writing, “LMAAAO!!!! I’m happier than I’ve been in my entire life. I have a few drinks here & there because I’m fuckin retired and enjoying my life. I worked 30+ fuckin years I deserve it. You didn’t arrange any intervention, you barely spoke to me while u were here. Just coverin ur ass!!”
