Way back in 2012, the 34-year-old singer stunned the cameras as she was photographed enjoying a day on Cottesloe Beach in Australia, with her swimsuit quickly making headlines for its retro 1950s style. Channeling her love of old-school fashion, Taylor showed off her sensational figure all sunkissed as she splashed about waves, but the fan reposting the photo to Instagram saw something else. Noting Swift's body-positive mindset and likely aware of her eating disorder past, they gushed over the Grammy winner teaching everyone a "lesson" about self-love.

Big-time embracing the girly 50's trend that's since come back into fashion, the Reputation hitmaker flashed her cleavage and toned, trim torso while also flaunting her long legs, adding in statement dark shades and rocking a bold red lip that gave a nod to throwback Hollywood glam.

All itty-bitty bottoms as she braved low-rise briefs that accentuated her waistline, Taylor wore her hair tied back as she was caught smiling, with further images confirming that she'd opted for a low-key ponytail. Reposting the look in 2019, the fan wrote: "I love how Taylor learned to accept her body no matter what teaching us to accept our own bodies no matter what, too she is so inspirational."

In 2020, Taylor bravely opened up on her Miss Americana documentary, delving into her past disordered eating and, notably, commenting on how fan comments have triggered her. She recalled “a picture of me where I feel like I looked like my tummy was too big, or… someone said that I looked pregnant … and that’ll just trigger me to just starve a little bit — just stop eating.”

Reflecting on the reveal, the girlfriend to Travis Kelce separately stated: “I didn’t know if I was going to feel comfortable with talking about body image and talking about the stuff I’ve gone through in terms of how unhealthy that’s been for me — my relationship with food and all that over the years."
