Jill Duggar Opened Up About Painful Memories In Memoir

Before sharing the heart-wrenching experience of losing her first daughter with her followers, Jill had to confront another painful chapter of her past in September last year.

The Blast noted that the "19 Kids and Counting" alum delved into the distressing memories linked to her brother Josh Duggar's actions, which she described as abusive in her memoir "Counting the Cost."

Jill, alongside her husband, opened up about the challenging experience, revealing that addressing her brother's abuse was the most difficult aspect of compiling the memoir.

In her words, "I knew that we would have to address things in the book that I wouldn't want to. I did not want to talk about those things, but I knew writing a book, I couldn't just not address it." Following his wife's statement, Derrick also added:

"Child sexual abuse, victim information, should never be public. That was really part of why I went into the legal profession, [I] was just so aggravated by that... Jill shared certain things with me because we were getting married that nobody else should know."
